Welcome To Moda Fabrics!
Quiltstock 2019 - Are you coming?
Quiltstock 2019 - Are you coming?
It was sold out. But ask and you just might receive! Yes, it's true, a second week of great workshops, beautiful projects, lots of laughing, big cookies and uber-retreating has been added! So if you thought you'd missed out - you're in luck!
Session 2 will actually be first - July 31 through August 4. The teachers, projects and goodies are the same.
Where: The Magnolia Park Cities Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
When: Wednesday, July 31 through Saturday, August 4.
What: Three days of stitching, learning, being inspired, getting creative... did I mention cookies?
Who: Martingale Publishing and Moda Fabrics.
Who No. 2. Who is teaching at Quiltstock?
Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings - Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Troubles Quilters - Barbara Groves and Mary Jacobson of Me & My Sister Designs - Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life.
What No. 2. What will these Moda Designers be teaching - as in, what will we be making? (Kits are available for all of the projects.)
Lynne will be teaching her layered patchwork technique with this quilt - Building Blocks. This cozy lap-sized quilt finishes at 62 1/2" x 74 1/2" and it's one of the terrific projects in her new book, Prairie Life.
Pineapples, anyone? This is Pier 44 and it's from Sherri McConnell's new book, Sunday Best Quilts. (Co-authored with Moda Designer and friend, Corey Yoder.) Sherri will share tricks for making Pineapple blocks using her favorite ruler. While it isn't required, the results are worth the investment, especially since it can be used to make several different size blocks. Pier 44 finishes at 56 1/2" x 64 1/2".
I think you can tell by the colors that this is the project by Me & My Sister - it's titled Ursula and it's from Three Time's A Charm. This super-simple charm pack quilt finishes at 24 1/2" x 24 1/2". Use it to make a pillow or table-topper, or add more charm packs and make it bigger!
Wool appliqué? Lisa Bongean, of course. This Snowman Stocking Wall Hanging is perfect for bringing a little bit of Winter into your home - without bringing in the snow or cold. It finishes at 24" long and about 8" wide. If you've never done wool appliqué or stitching before, Lisa will have you stitching like beautifully by the end of class. This project is from Merry Makers.

There are all sorts of other things planned... but they're a surprise.
Cookies. They're always a good idea.
I hope to see you in August.
